Top 4 Buzzed-About Sexual Predators in the Film Industry

Hello fellow Brainjars! If you ended up on this site, there’s a good chance you too are a film fan, and have heard all about the recent wave of sexual harassment allegations towards men of varying importance in the film industry. In case you were wondering, here’s our list of 2017’s most notorious offenders in Hollywood. For this list we focused on people who recently got accused. So sorry Bill Cosby, you’ll have to sit this one out!
#4 – Devin Faraci

We’re kicking off this list with perhaps our most controversial choice, as the sexual allegations towards movie blogger Devin Faraci were already revealed in 2016. Faraci was one of the most notorious names in film blog circles, having worked for Chud.com and following this up working as editor in chief for Birthmoviesdeath. When it was revealed Faraci too belonged in the “grabbing people by the pussy” club, his job was quickly terminated. The reason Faraci makes an appearance in our 2017 list because it was revealed this year he was once again being employed by Birthmoviesdeath owner Alamo Drafthouse, instead of fading out of our collective memories as promised.
Current status: Stepped down.
#3 – Andy Signore
Andy Signore is “famous” for creating Honest Trailers, the YouTube series made for the ScreenJunkies channel that jokingly critiques films, and you tend to put on when you’re procrastinating at work. Signore didn’t do the voice-over so you can still continue watching this. When news came out Signore had sexually propositioned an intern, followed by further accusations, his contract was swiftly terminated.
Current status: Fired.
#2 – Harry Knowles
It’s not nice to judge people by their appearance, but can anyone say they were surprised when allegations came out implying Harry Knowles is a creep? The founder of movie blog Aintitcool, perhaps the ugliest site in the existence of the internet, was accused of groping a woman at an Alamo Drafthouse event two decades ago. As seems to always be the case, more allegations followed. Several contributors to the site left, leaving Knowles to step down and give the reign over to his sister.
Current status: Stepped down.
#1 – Harvey Weinstein
Of course all the previously mentioned men are absolutely nothing compared to Harvey Weinstein, who was one of the biggest producers working in Hollywood. On top of that he also has the dubious honour of being unbeatable in terms of sexual crimes (sorry, allegations). Weinstein helped shape the careers of people such as Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck.
Pre-2017 was a more innocent time when Weinstein was most notorious for having several movies produced by his company edited to hell, coining him the name Harvey Scissorhands. That all changed this month however, with everything from leaked audio footage to accusations by Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and more, all confirming how much Weinstein enjoys blocking women’s exits to masturbate in front of them. It’s no wonder Harvey Weinstein got fired from his own company, and shunned by his family. Not even begging for his job could help him here.
Status: Fired.
